- How to order
Ordering Online: Online ordering is safe and secure and available 24/7 using our secure shopping cart. All credit card information is collected using a SSL secure server. We do not store any credit card information on our servers. All information you submit is protected by encryption software.Ordering By Phone: You can call us toll-free at (888) 569-SOAP (888-569-7627) to place an order. Our business hours are 9 AM to 4 PM EST, Monday through Friday. We are closed on all major holidays and weekends. There are times when we are in the studio and you will reach our machine. Be sure to leave a number where we can reach you. We recommend you do not leave your order on the machine as sound quality and clarity can be an issue and we may have questions for you regarding your order.
Ordering By Fax: You can fax your order to us at (804) 569-1783. We will confirm your order and payment method by telephone or email prior to processing it.
- Payment methods
Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, checks and money orders or Paypal. We are sorry, but we cannot accept CODs for online orders. No orders can be shipped until the payment has been processed.
Please note: Orders paid by personal check will be held until the check has cleared. This may take up to 2 weeks. NSF Checks will incur a $30 fee for each time the bank rejects the deposit. If your credit card charges are declined, we will make every effort to contact you by phone or email. If charges are not accepted within three (3) days, your order will be cancelled. If paying by check or money order, your order will be held for a period of ten (10) days. If payment is not received within that time, your order will be cancelled without notice. If you opt to use Paypal to send an E-check your order will not ship until the E-check clears. E-checks can take up to 5 business days to clear.
Sales Tax: Sales tax of 5 percent will be charged on all orders shipped to Virginia addresses.
- Ordering terms / processing time
Minimums: We have no minimum retail ordering requirement.Processing / Availability: Many of our products are made at the time you place your order to insure you are receiving the freshest product possible. Most orders are shipped within 3 - 5 business days, however we ask that you please allow up to 5 - 10 days for shipment. This does not include weekends and major holidays. We strive for the quickest turnaround time possible after we have received your payment, however, during very busy times, processing may take an extra day or two. Any major delays will be posted on our site. We reserve the right to adjust shipping times without prior notice.
Essentials for Him does not guarantee availability of all products at all times. There may be instances when certain items are not available due to their seasonal nature or other circumstances beyond our control. We do not place items on backorder or accept preorders of out of stock items. If an item is out of stock we will indicate this on our website and the item will not be available for order. If you wish, we can notify you by email when the item is available again.
Cancellations: Should you wish to cancel or change your order you must do so within 24 hours. You must contact us by email or phone with your order number and information within that timeframe. Absolutely no changes or cancellations will be accepted after 24 hours.

Return Policy: Due to the "personal" nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not issue refunds. We cannot accept returns on our products and still guarantee their purity for other customers. If you have any questions regarding our products we are always available to assist you in making selections.Please note: Our products are handmade and therefore, slight variations are expected. Though we always strive for consistency, without machines, this is not always possible. Some techniques, particularly soap colors, swirls, and designs cannot be duplicated exactly from batch to batch. We do want you to be consistently satisfied with the products you receive. We understand that occasionally circumstances beyond our control may sometimes result in imperfect merchandise. Should you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us so we may resolve the matter to your satisfaction.

We comply with FDA standards for the production, handling, and proper labeling of our products. We list all ingredients used in our products. Persons with sensitivities or allergies to any listed ingredient should not use those products. Should you develop a rash or allergy from any of our products, discontinue use immediately. Please be aware, some products may contain nuts or nut butters or oils (this includes shea butter), or are made with equipment that may come into contact with nuts. Those with nut sensitivities should avoid any such products. If you have any concerns regarding product ingredients please contact us for a full listing.As with all bath or cosmetic items, please test on a small area of skin if you have a known skin allergy or are sensitive to fragrances. - Shipping and insurance
Shipping: We ship via USPS Priority Mail and UPS. You may specify which method you prefer. The shopping cart provides the closest possible estimate on shipping + handling and may require slight adjustments to the shipping total. Shipping charges are based on size and weight of package(s). Orders containing glass may require additional packaging and wrapping to prevent breakage and therefore, may incur additional shipping charges.Shipping is FOB Mechanicsville, Virginia. Packages shipped by UPS ground may take up to 9 days to some zones. Please keep this in mind when placing gift orders to allow for processing and delivery time. We don't want you to be disappointed.
Insurance: Please choose your shipping method carefully. Orders shipped by USPS Priority Mail are uninsured unless requested - if a package is lost or damaged we are not liable. Insurance is available at an additional charge. Please state your insurance request when placing your order; the charge will be added to your order total. UPS shipping rates include insurance for the first $100 of your order. Additional insurance is also available for orders valued over $100. If you choose USPS Priority Mail as your shipping method and do not request insurance, we will not be held responsible for damaged or lost orders. Though lost or damaged shipments are extremely rare, they can happen especially during high-volume shipping times.
Shipping Addresses: PLEASE double check your shipping address when ordering. If you enter the wrong address, it is your responsibility to make sure we have corrected it in our database by calling or emailing us as soon as possible. Shipments delivered to the wrong address due to your mistake are not our responsibility. Should your package be returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the reshipping costs.
Multiple Addresses: Please place a separate order for items going to multiple addresses. Shipping charges are calculated for each order separately.
International Orders: At this time we are currently shipping only to addresses in the United States and Canada.
